Montgomery, AL – Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM) is proud to celebrate the success of its second annual Community of Christmas Trees program, a holiday tradition that transforms the terminal into a festive showcase of creativity, community pride, and seasonal spirit.
This year’s display featured 15 beautifully decorated trees from local schools, nonprofit organizations, and businesses, inviting travelers and community members to enjoy the holiday atmosphere while supporting organizations that make a meaningful impact across the River Region.
Following a spirited voting period, MGM is excited to officially recognize the 2025 Community of Christmas Trees winners:
- School Winner: BEAR Elementary School
- Nonprofit Winner: Alpha Rho Zeta Service Foundation
- Business Winner: A Rai of Sunshine Delectable Pound Cakes
Each winning organization received a Community of Christmas Trees trophy and a $300 cash prize in recognition of their creativity and community engagement.
“The Community of Christmas Trees continues to be one of our most meaningful holiday initiatives,” said Brittney Jones-Dabney, Communications and Marketing Manager. “It’s a celebration of the people, organizations, and partnerships that make Montgomery such a special place — and it allows us to bring that spirit directly into our terminal for passengers and visitors alike.”
With another successful year complete, planning is already underway for the next celebration. MGM is excited to announce that registration for the 2026 Community of Christmas Trees will officially open on Thursday, October 1. The airport looks forward to welcoming returning participants while introducing new schools, nonprofits, and businesses to this beloved holiday tradition.
