Montgomery, Ala. – Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM) has successfully completed its Full-Scale Emergency Exercise, conducted in partnership with local, state, and federal agencies.
The exercise tested MGM’s emergency response plan, interagency coordination, and communication procedures, ensuring the airport remains prepared to respond effectively in the event of an emergency.
“This exercise demonstrates our strong commitment to safety and readiness,” said Loyd Jenkins, Interim Executive Airport Director. “Working alongside our dedicated first responders and partner agencies allows us to strengthen coordination, test our procedures, and continue building confidence in our ability to protect passengers, employees, and the community.”
MGM expressed its appreciation to participating agencies, volunteers, and community partners for their collaboration and support. “We are grateful for the teamwork shown today,” Jenkins added. “Preparedness takes all of us, and together we are ready.”
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires airports to conduct a full-scale exercise every three years to evaluate emergency plans and identify areas for improvement.
