(Montgomery, Ala.) – Travelers are preparing to return to the skies amid the first busy holiday season since the start of the global pandemic. Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM) encourages
travelers to plan early and offers the following tips for safe travel, as airport activity is expected to
rise during Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Follow Safety Precautions when Planning Travel

Individuals who are sick or feeling unwell, should not travel. When flying during the holiday
season, keep a watchful eye for travel updates and advisories provided by airlines and the Federal
Aviation Administration (FAA). The FAA offers planning resources for “Flying Healthy”. Guidance
is available online at https://www.transportation.gov/flyhealthy

Arrive At Least Two Hours Early

Passengers should arrive at the airport at least two hours prior to departure time to check-in and
clear security checkpoints. Use any extra time to enjoy festive food and drinks on the holiday
menu at the Runway 28 restaurant or shop for unique items and gifts while waiting.

Use Safe and Convenient On-Site Parking

Parking at MGM is convenient and affordable. MGM now offers contactless payment options and
automated cashier lanes for a safe, fast exit. Short and long-term parking options are available.

Wear Face Coverings at All Times

For the safety of all passengers, visitors and staff, please wear a mask or face covering at all times.
Passengers are strongly encouraged to wear masks while outside utilizing parking lots, ride share
and the departure/arrivals area. Face coverings are required when entering the airport. The
MGM Team is happy to provide a mask to assist travelers with lost or forgotten masks. Airlines
also require the use of masks aboard aircraft.

Prepare for Security Checkpoints

To support safe travel, TSA will permit each passenger to carry one container of liquid hand
sanitizer, up to 12 ounces. All other liquids, gels and aerosols are limited to 3.4 ounces, and should
be contained in a single quart-size bag. Anti-bacterial and sanitizing wipes may also be taken
aboard aircraft.

Travelers can expedite the security process using the TSA PreCheck program at the MGM
checkpoint.

Stay Clean and Stay Safe with Social Distancing

Passengers should wash hands or use sanitizer often. The airport frequently cleans and sanitizes
passenger and visitor areas. Social distancing should be practiced throughout the airport,
including exterior passenger loading and ride share zones. MGM remains clean, safe and ready to
fly.

Carolina (CLT); and Dallas, Texas (DFW). MGM serves the region with 4 daily flights by American and
