Montgomery, AL – Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM) is proud to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a series of initiatives designed to support survivors, encourage early detection, and inspire the community to unite in the fight against breast cancer.
As part of its observance, MGM has introduced the Pink Power Honor Wall, located inside the terminal, where travelers and employees can pay tribute to survivors, those currently in the fight, and the loved ones who have passed away. The Honor Wall serves as a powerful reminder of resilience and community strength.
In addition, MGM will host a Pink Power Activation Day in partnership with Baptist Health on Tuesday, October 14. Baptist Health’s JOY Mobile Mammogram Unit will be on-site to provide education, share resources, and offer awareness opportunities for passengers, airport employees, and visitors.
“At MGM, we believe airports are more than just places of travel — they are gateways to community,” said Brittney Jones-Dabney, Communications and Marketing Manager at MGM. “By honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month with meaningful activations, we aim to support our passengers, employees, and neighbors touched by breast cancer. This tribute is about education, prevention, and most importantly, honoring the fighters and remembering those we’ve lost.”
Outside the terminal, MGM has also partnered with the JOY to Life Foundation to present a Field of Pink Ribbons, a visual display of hope and remembrance at the airport’s main entrance. Community members can purchase a pink flag to be placed in the field by visiting JOY to Life’s Pink Flag Campaign.
MGM invites travelers and the Montgomery community to join in these efforts throughout October to help spread awareness, show support, and ride for the ribbon.
