Montgomery, AL – Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM) is proud to once again welcome travelers into a beautifully decorated terminal as it celebrates the second annual Community of Christmas Trees for the holiday season. This beloved tradition brings together the creativity and spirit of local schools, nonprofits, and new this year businesses—each designing and decorating a Christmas tree that reflects their unique mission, story, and holiday joy.
This year’s display will feature 15 participating organizations, making it the largest showcase to date. The trees will be on exhibit throughout the airport terminal beginning Friday, November 21, offering passengers and visitors a festive, community-centered experience during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.
Each participating group will include a short “theme inspiration” description, giving travelers a deeper look at the meaning and message behind their design.
The airport will kick off the display with its signature Santa Fly-In on December 13 from 1–3 p.m., where families can take photos with Santa, enjoy themed activity stations, and cast their vote for this year’s favorite tree. Voting will remain open throughout the display period, with the winning tree announced on Tuesday, December 31.
“Our Community of Christmas Trees is one of my favorite traditions because it brings together everything that makes the River Region special—creativity, collaboration, and community pride,” said Brittney Jones-Dabney, Communications & Marketing Manager at Montgomery Regional Airport. “We are thrilled to welcome 15 incredible organizations this year. Travelers will not only see beautiful holiday décor but also feel the heart and mission behind each tree. MGM is proud to share this space with our community and spread holiday cheer to everyone passing through our doors.”
The public is encouraged to visit the terminal, enjoy the seasonal displays, and participate in the voting process. For those traveling this season, the exhibit offers a warm reminder of the region’s talent, unity, and holiday spirit.
